The ST-09 Iguana

Here's the rundown on my latest addition to the Serpent Legion's war assets. I built this guy using the core of a Squieu Mini-Frame and and the torso is inspired by Malcom Craig's Lansen. I've been keeping with my tire kick by working them into the guns on the arms.

    1. Thanks! It's got a little of that classic Battletech feel to it.

  2. Just added this to the Wiki, I stumbled across it since my eldest has just gotten really into building LEGO robots...

Cool Robots by Sean Kennedy - a great little book with lots of LEGO robot builds (including a transforming truck). There are a number of robots suitable as frames, including a nice step by step instruction section that shows how to build the inner bits.

Some of the bots in the book look extremely similar to those floating around on the Net...

  3. Awesome work!

I can't quite figure out how you did the upper arm / shoulder joint. Is that two 1x1s with horizontal clips with something between them hooked to a 1x1 with vertical clip? Also, the barrel of the auto cannons - I think it's two black 1x1 cans with the tire around them and a technic connector with knub as the end of the barrel?

    Thanks!

    1. You are 100% correct with the guns. The joints are a 1x1 plate with.a.ring (part 4081b) with the 1x1 horizontal clips attached on either side.
